Airport Parking Provisions – Atlanta

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

It is fun to travel. It definitely is a joy to be able to go from one place to another and see the sights the city has to offer. One of the things that people normally take into consideration whenever they travel is the convenience that the airport offers. First, you choose an airport closest to your destination and from your place of origin. Then you check out the available flights going in and out of the airport. Next, you check the other services that they can offer you.

Convenience is one of the key points that the Atlanta Airport has emphasized on. And to add to that feature, they provide parking where travelers can leave their vehicles when they take a flight from the airport.

The Atlanta Airport Parking is open at all hours of the day and all days of the year. A ticket is issued to customers through automatic ticket dispensers at the entrance of the parking area. This ticket is then presented to the cashier upon exiting the parking lot. For payment, they accept cash, check and all major credit cards like MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

There are also shuttle cart services offered to the Atlanta airport parking customers. These shuttles provides transportation for customers going to the North Economy Parking lot to the South Economy Parking lot and vice versa. The service is available from seven in the morning until midnight at all days of the week.

The Atlanta Airport Parking also would have courtesy officers and security officers to provide assistance to customers who seem to be having some trouble. They also help you locate parking spaces. This is the Airport’s way of letting you know that your comfort level is something that they take seriously.

There are also courtesy vans roaming the parking lots, assisting customers who are having problems with starting their car, airing their wheels. They also help customers locate their vehicles.

Airport Parking at the JFK

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

The busiest and perhaps one of the most popular international airports in the United States is located in New York. Named after the 35th president of the United States, it is called the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The airport is also the largest in the New York metro. It is located in Queens County. It is home to JetBlue Airways and one of the major international hubs for Delta Airlines and American Airlines.

The JFK airport, as said earlier is one of the busiest airports in the United States. People come and go by the thousands in a day. Motorists come and go all the time. And JFK parking has plenty of room for these motorists.
The JFK parking has five structures that connect directly to the eight passenger terminals of the JFK airport. These parking lots are all short-term parking lots that offer convenience to customers. They charge a 3-dollar fee for the first 30 minutes of your stay. And for the first hour, they charge a 6-dollar fee. There will be an additional 3-dollar fee for every succeeding half hour after the first. The JFK parking management allows only up to $33 as their maximum daily price for short-term parking. That is about five and a half hours of stay on short-term parking.
The JFK parking also offers long-term parking at parking lots A, B and C. These parking lots are located along Lefferts Boulevard. There is a free shuttle service to the main passenger terminals as the parking lot is about 4 miles away. Long-term parking would have an 18-dollar fee for the first 24 hours. Customers would just need to add 6 dollars for every succeeding 8-hour period after the first 24 hours.

Of course, you can always opt to go for the “Kiss and Fly” drop-off. Just drive your loved one to the airport, kiss them goodbye and watch them walk away as you drive forward, away from the airport.

My Best Tips For SFO Parking

Friday, September 18th, 2009

If you need to park for less than an hour (two hours at the most) use the short term lots.  The short term and long term lots charge about the same per hour ($5 per hour for the short term, $4 per hour for the long-term).  However the daily rate for the short-term lots is $35 versus $14 for the long-term lots.  The long-term lots also offer free donuts if that is of interest to you.

The shuttes that transport you from the long-term lots to the terminals run often and are very efficient.  There are covered ($13/day) and uncovered ($10/day) lots available.  These lots offer 24-7 security.

Valet parking is convenient and not as expensive as you might think ($35 per day).  Of course you also have to figure in the tip but may be well worth it in the long run.

There are handicapped SFO Parking lots available.  However thes lots charge the same rates as the other lots.

The best tip I can offer however is to pre-book your airport parking.  By pre-booking you will save money, assure that you will have a parking spot, you can find the lot on the map or GPS, and you can plan your time so that you can avoid any undue stress and hassles when traveling.

JFK Parking? Are You Serious?

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

JFK Airport is one of the busiest in the country, particularly for international travel.  JFK parking can be stressful if you do not plan ahead.  However f you know your options and pre-book your parking, JFK parking can be a joy (well maybe not a living nightmare at least).

[Here is a quick tip: some of the airport hotels will provide free or discounted parking if you stay at the hotel the night before your flight.  Sometimes you can stay and park for the same price you would pay just to park at one of the JFK airport lots.]

Short-Term Parking.  The short-term lots are designed for people that need to leave their car for awhile to assist passengers with their tickets or baggage or if you need to help someone get to the gate. The lots are relatively expensive( $3 per half hour/$33 per day).

Long-Term-Parking.  The prices for the long-term lots are $18 per day. JFK airport has several long-term lots that offer shuttle service between the lots and the terminal.  The shuttles are clean and run often.  The ride is relatively short, (most lots are less than 4 miles from the airport) but you must make allowances for the transportation time.

JFK parking spaces can be reserved by pre-booking online.  There are several companies that are able to quickly search for available spaces and lots at the time you intend to travel.  Pre-booking not only allows you to avoid the headache of finding a space the day of travel but pre-booking also saves money.

where can i find cheaper Long term parking at Newark airport?

Saturday, September 5th, 2009

I am parking my car for 3 days at Newark airport in Jersey. The Long term parking at the airport goes to $15 per day.
Is there a slightly cheaper option around the airport, like a non-airport owned park area.

There is no other place as cheap or safer. Newark is a high crime area. Trust me, you are much better off parking your car in the long term parking at the airport.

Besides anything you would gain by finding a cheaper place to park would be lost in the additional cost of using a cab back to the airport and to your car on the return trip.
