So you have thought that your travel planning is foolproof! You have found out the discount hotel, you have secured the best bargain in the air tickets and you have contacted the best discount car rental service! Remember, your travel planning is not complete as long as you have not booked your airport parking.

The airport authority will not allow you to park your car on airport for nothing. They will charge you for the safety they provide to your car when you are not around. Per day you have to cough up certain dollar amount which turns out to be quite high at the end. Following the simple rule of demand and supply, the charges soars up to an all time high during the summer or holiday seasons. But a pre booking can help you save up to 40% on your total parking expenditure.

Not only the monetary aspect, a booking in advance helps you to travel with a relaxed mind. All along your tour, you have the assurance that your car is in a safe place. An advanced booking also saves you from the last minute anxieties. Once you have secured a booking you know that you will get your space all right even if there is a crazy rush.

Most of the airports have limited place. As such, their gate price skyrockets as the spaces start being filled up rapidly during the summer months when everybody seems to be in a holiday rush. But if you book early on, you can avoid paying these higher charges.

If you book early you will be able to get a better bargain. Just like a travel agent can secure you a lucrative holiday package good many days before the season starts, the same way, you can get better deal if you book the parking well in advance. The rule of the thumb is: the nearer the booking date to your date of departure, the higher they will charge you for your parking.

Then think of the security of your favorite car! Most of the parking companies in the major airports of the world will provide such security features as Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV), Floodlights, tamper proof fencing or 24 hour manned security patrols.

There are many other benefits of booking airport parking in advance. There are many terminals in the large airports. It takes a long time to move from one terminal to another. So it becomes extremely hazardous if you get a parking place far from the terminal from which your flight will take off. But an advance booking will solve this problem; pre booking will secure a place for your car in the parking nearest to your terminal.

Then, advance booking of airport parking is a simple procedure; all it needs an internet connection and not more than five minutes. So next time you start planning for your vacation, do not forget to pre book the parking place in the airport.

Travelling from Changi Airport to Orchard?
    Dear all,

I will arrive Singapore next sunday. This is my first time here so that I have no tourist information. Please let me know how can I go from changi Airport to any subway station near Orchard because I will stay in a hotel neat MRT Novena station (2 stops away from Orchard station). Does it have MRT or rapid train from the airport to the city center? If not, please tell help me the bus number can I use and how much do I have to pay for it?

On the other hand, I would like to visit bird park and night safari in a day but I am confusing that these areas are located in the same place or not. Moreover, I am going to book ticket – (Bird Park and Night Safari) – online: I see 2 kinds of ticket: One is Park Hopper 2-in-1 (Admissions only)
and (Admission and panorail/tram), what is different?. Can you give me an advice which one should I buy.

Thank you very much in advance for your answer,

    Pham Minh Hai

There is MRT station right at the airport, follow the sign or ask any of the staffs there and you can get there easily. This MRT line is called East-West line (it runs from East to West of the island), you need to change to North-South line at City Hall station, and this will you to the Orchard MRT station.

Night Safari is located in Mandai (located in the middle of island), while Bird Park is located in Jurong (West part of island). The ticket that includes the tram ride will allow you to ride the tram in the park. If you purchase the normal ticket (admission only), you need to pay for the tram ride separately.

There will be a MRT at the changi airport in the middle of terminal 2 and 3 , if you still not sure where itsit , ask the staff there , they will guide you.First you have to go from changi MRT and alight at Tanah Merah Mrt which is one stops away , after Expo MRT station, after alighting at Tanah Merah Mrt , go to the opposite line , and alight City Hall Mrt station , go to the North South line , which is the red line , take it to Orchard or Novena .
Bird Park is at Jurong east , and Night Safari is at Mandai , its is quite far between these two places. You may take a cab there if it is within your budget , or you can take to Ang Mo Kio Mrt station ( same line as Novena/Orchard ) following the line via Jurong East / Woodlands not the one to Marina Bay . And at the shopping centre near the Ang Mo Kio Mrt , named Ang Mo Kio Hub , there will be a bus interchange inside , and there will be a bus number 138 , it will go to Mandai directly ( ask the bus driver if unsure) journey takes about 30 to 40 minutes.. If you want to go to bird park , Take the MRT to Boon Lay Station and transfer to bus number 194 or 251 at the Boon Lay Bus Interchange.( is at the green line ) means you need to go back to City hall , and change to the green line to Boon Lay.Jurong Bird Park only opens from 8.30am to 6pm.
The park hopper is for admission only , while the another one is including the tram/panorail . If you pay for the park hopper only , if you want to sit the tram , you have to pay for a price , which may be more expensive , askpakage is always the cheapest. Most tourist would like to buy the the admission and tram , after one day of tiring walk , but why dont you visit the Zoo ? Night Safari only open 7.30pm to 12mn daily while Restaurants and retail shops open from 6:00pm daily.
Most people would like to go to Zoo as the night safari is only beside .
If you are still unsure about the Mrt on how to go this place , ask the staff in the Mrt , they will guide you there.
i had included a Mrt map for you : http://www.smrt.com.sg/trains/network_map.asp

    :D
    Have fun in Singapore .
And you may like to go Orchard for shoppings , but items are quite expensive , and bring extra cash , in case you are lost , so you can hop on to a cab :D
