Airport Parking Tips for the Travelers on Budget

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

It is important to chalk out a plan before taking up of any venture and traveling is a venture that requires a neat and foolproof planning. The lion’s share of a travel plan involves budgeting. You have to find out the budget hotels in the holiday destinations, you have to grab the cheapest offers in the air tickets; you have to find out the discount car rental and so on. After making such an elaborate budgeting you are satisfied that you are going to have a superb holiday but at the minimum price.

But wait, your task of budgeting is not yet complete. Have you spared any thought for airport parking? Do you know how expensive it can be if you don’t plan for it in advance? Yes airport parking should also be an integral part of your travel planner. Not only it saves a lot of hassle prior to departure, it saves a lot of money too, if you plan for it tactfully in advance.

Just think of it! You could secure yourself a fine dinner or a nicer room with the money that you saved on airport parking by doing a little homework. Here are a couple of amazing tips that will help you to minimize all your parking expenses. Who can say, you may probably find out the strategy to terminate the parking cost altogether!

Before planning for airport parking just consider this question, why do you want to save on airport parking? This is because you want to utilize the saved money on such things that give you pleasure. Paying for parking is the last thing on the earth that makes you happy! So try to maximize the perks while looking for cheap airport parking. Here is a great idea: Why not check in the airport hotel for the night when you are scheduled to catch an early morning flight? Most of the airport hotel offers you a package deal in which room charge and parking both are included. Thinking how to reach to the terminal? Avail the hotel’s courtesy shuttles facility to reach the terminal. To avail this kind of facilities, you have to check with your airport hotel in advance.

So you get double benefits from the arrangement; first of all, you saved the strain of hitting the highway at night and on the other hand, you got the parking facility in return of a set price.

Here is another unusual way of saving on airport parking. Just log on to the websites of aggregators such as Airport Parking Shop or Airport Parking and Hotels (APH) and enter the name of the airport and travel date. They will be able to inform you about a free day of parking. There can be more discounts on the other days as well. Now a full free day of parking means a slashing of good $18 or more in the expensive airports like LaGuardia or O’Hare. And if you calculate the average, you will see your total gain is rather high.

Arranging Long-stay Parking at Aberdeen Airport

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

I made use of the Aberdeen airport a dozen of times. Mostly I had to catch a flight from here to attend a business meeting. I always prefer to use the parking company’s services there. If you want to park your car at Aberdeen Airport itself it might be quit pricy unless it is not a problem to pay a high short term fee. There are much cheaper ways to park your car available which I arrange using the car parking internet services, which is rapid and easy to do, and as I already used the main services I am not exaggerating to conclude that by now I am some kind of an expert. Telling you my experiences might save you a hard time finding the right parking spot.

The past five years I have checked out all types of alternatives in terms of off-site Parking at the Aberdeen airport, with different results. Each parking facility is secured and operated by professionals, but when the end of the day comes near it all depends on how much time is left before your flight departs and which part of the country you are coming from. Car parking rate varies accordingly.

The less difficult way, if you really want to make it smooth for yourself is the valet parking service. You just have to drive up to the airport and after take your suitcases out of your car and the company’s staff will take your car away. After your return the only thing you have to do is to give them a ring and a representative will be ready and waiting for you! The companies which offer this excellent service are Aberdeen Airport Meet and Greet and Aberdeen Airpark Parking. However, their service is slightly more expensive but it is definitely worth it.

The car parking facilities which are situated nearby Aberdeen airport are Aberdeen Airpark Parking (a five-minute drive) and Aberdeen Airport Meet and Greet (five minutes from the airport), but occasionally you might loose ten minutes of precious time while you are waiting for a shuttle bus. The parking service provides a transportation service to the car park/airport on request. The travel duration of the ride is only five minutes.

Both of the services which the companies offer are all much similar for parking at Aberdeen. I returned to Aberdeen Airpark Parking dozens of times. These firms do not waste precious time on annoying bureaucratic procedures. Coming back is trouble-free as well, no sticking around or difficulties getting your car out. It might happen sometimes that staff asks to keep your car key and move your automobile around, which for me is totally acceptable.

My opinion is that it is all depending on how well you are familiar with the environment or not, the parking facilities might be difficult to find, or easy approaching from one way but quite hard from the opposite direction. Essentially, the fee is a something to think about as well. The most cheapest options are farthest away so make sure you arrive at the car park having sufficient time before checking in. The best way is to make use of the chauffeured parking service and it gives you piece of mind as well!

Actually, using the online services to plan your trip is probably the most useful tip I can give, you can really trust them, most of the time they provide the best rates, particularly the aggregated firms that offer the finest services compared with all the available other options. It makes it all easy-going. Here are the best options according to my experiences for your convenience.

Manchester Airport is home to 95 tour operators offering passengers over 300 domestic and international destinations. Manchester Ringway International Airport handles nearly 20 million passengers per year, so it’s hardly surprising that finding the right Manchester Airport parking to suit your needs can be such a nightmare time consuming and expensive. * Standard Manchester Airport Parking
Manchester short term parking is perfect for collecting or dropping off passengers, or for short trips. Any cars left unattended in the set down or pick up areas, will be towed away by the police and a release fee will be incurred. Therefore, if you need to leave your car unattended, motorists must park in the Manchester short stay car parks available at each Terminal.

* Business Manchester Airport Parking
For travellers that need fast access through from parking to the airport can use the premier Park service. A car parking space will be pre-allocated, and on arrival, a staff member will have the booking details, take the car keys and park the car on your behalf. On your return, the car will be ready and waiting.

* Manchester Long Term Parking
For passengers travelling away for more than a few days, Manchester long term parking is recommended. This is where the minefield begins. There are a huge number of different options available for Manchester Airport parking, and many companies competing for your business. The long stay car parks are serviced by regular shuttle bus services to the terminal buildings, running from every 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the car park you choose. Parking at Blackpool Airport

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Blackpool airport (BLK) is situated south of the city. The entrance of the complex is linked by a dual carriageway to the motorway network. You have to drive along the A5230 from junction 4 of the M55 motorway and turn left at the first roundabout.

As a regular flier I’ve used the airport in Blackpool dozens of times, mostly I had to travel out of the airport because of business as I do public relations for a large automotive company. Each time I have to catch a flight I normally use the available parking sites at or nearby the airport. Parking at Blackpool Airport itself is rather expensive unless it is affordable for you paying the short term rate. Over the internet you have the convenient option to book several less expensive car parking services. I think I’ve parked my car already at all of the available sites so I know which companies provide the best and easiest parking procedures. Sharing my experiences and give you some advice might give you some piece of mind if you are planning to park your car at Blackpool airport.

Over a period of three years I’ve used a number of alternatives regarding off-site airport car parking at Blackpool. The car parks were all professionally run and also the security was of high standards. However, at the end of the day it all depends on how much time you have left before you have to start checking-in. Also important is how much money you are willing to pay for parking your car.

If you want to treat yourself then the best choice is to use the chauffeured parking service. They are obviously more expensive but the procedure is very easy as you only have to drive your car up to the airport, get your suitcases out of the trunk and let staff move the vehicle away for you. Each time I used their service and returned from my domestic business trips I called them and there they were waiting for me! It could not be easier. One of the advisable car parks which provide this excellent service is Skypark Meet and Greet Parking.

There is another well-established car park which I would like to mention here, Blackpool Long Stay Car Park. They operate a highly secured site. The parking procedure is straightforward. You just drive your car into the facility, obtain a ticket by pushing the button and keep the voucher with you. When I returned from my business trip I took the ticket and confirmation to the information desk where the ticket was validated for me. When I left the park I inserted the ticket into the slot and I drove away. I even enjoyed a discounted price as I booked the parking in advance online.

The most economical options are also positioned within a longer distance from the airport. I you want to use one of these you better arrive there early so you have enough time left before the check in procedure commences. If you not feel good about this then I would suggest, the pretty painless, valet parking option.

During the last two years I always pre-booked my car parking online and I wish I also had done this the first year. Using these services to plan your travels is really the best advice I can give you. Don’t be suspicious as they offer a secured and safe reservation service and it is very easy too. I never had a negative experience with them and I will definitely keep on using the internet to arrange my car parking. Mentioned below are a few of the online services which I many times successfully used.

If Using Off-Airport Parking At Logan-Bring A GPS

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

We live in New England and have flown out of Boston on many occasions.  By far the best options for airport parking at Logan is the off-airport parking.  The lots are secure and the rates are reasonable.  In addition I have found the shuttle service to most of the lots to be fast and efficient.  That being said there are a few important downsides to parking near Logan.  The traffic around the airport can be horrendous.  The roads are extremely confusing, even for Boston natives.  This is because there is currently a lot of construction in the area.  For instance one of my favorite lots is the Pre-Flight Parking lots.  However every time I park there I have to bring my GPS.  Even then it is a challenge to find the lot.  Some intersections have about five different choices (no lie) and trying to figure out which rod the GPS is referring too can be tough.  I honestly would not recommend this lot without a GPS.

Once you find the lot, the rest is easy.  The van picks you right up at your car, the drivers are courteous and the ride to Logan is quick.  Remember to print out the discount coupon for Pre-Flight before your tri for a substantial savings.

Upon your return the shuttles to the lot run frequently and they drop you back at your car.  Once you get out of the lot you will need to turn on the GPS again to find your way out of the area.
