Newark Airport Parking Tip: Park Off-Site

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

What are the advantages of using an off-airport parking space?

First is the assured availability. You don’t want to circle the parking lot more than thrice to get that spot that you need. And what happens if the Newark airport parking is full which is often the case? You shouldn’t lose your temper, bawl out, leave your car carelessly or cancel your flight. You surely do not need these drastic measures.

Second is the convenience and customer service. Of course, standard policies apply at any government parking spaces so there are no special treatments whatsoever. Rules are strictly followed and those who are not willing to abide by them can just leave the parking space. If you want to be treated like a valued guest, use off-airport parking facilities. You can negotiate and enjoy the frills.

Third on the list is the affordability. Yes, parking rates at airports are way too high these days. Expansion costs, taxes and what not are being shouldered by the travelers. If you fail to make arrangements for parking extensions you can even find your car in a tow lot. Since a lot of companies are offering parking spaces, you can compare prices and get the cheapest deal.

Now that you realized that it is so hard to get a Newark airport parking space, you can book an off-site parking ahead of time. And if you are only planning to be out for several hours, you may even have the chance to use the hotel parking if you stayed with them before your departure. Arrangements can be made ahead of time and you don’t need to have a horrible experience by just finding a place to park your car.

Especially during the busy seasons and holidays, finding a Newark airport parking space might as well be a death sentence. With the increased traffic at the Newark airport parking every year, planning conscientiously leaves you out of trouble.

Compared to being stressed out tremendously, they just choose to pay a fair amount and enjoy their vacation plans with their loved ones. They usually just choose to spend the money for airport parking lots and don’t like to shop around. They believe that every cent of their money will be worth it because of the extra services that these companies are providing them such as a free shuttle that will take them safely to the airport.

Another thing that people appreciate about these airport parking companies is that their employees are usually very welcoming and warm. People are drawn to their bright moods. Airport Parking in San Francisco

Monday, September 21st, 2009

There are a lot of people who drive themselves to the airport when they travel. And the SFO parking is a good way to leverage ground transportation going to and coming from the San Francisco airport. There are many options to choose from when it comes to SFO parking.
What should you consider when deciding which parking facility to employ? First, you need to consider the reputation of the parking facility. It is important that you get good feedback about the parking facility that you are considering. It is one way to ensure that you are getting quality and reliable service.
Another factor to consider is the distance of the SFO parking facility from the terminal. Of course, the reason why you are hiring their services is for convenience and comfort. If the parking lot is too far from the terminal, then you will waste precious time in getting to and from the airport terminal. And that just simply destroys the purpose of airport parking.
If there is a considerable distance between the parking lot and the terminal, there would definitely be a shuttle service provided. And if this is so, make sure to check the frequency of the shuttle service’s trips to and from the airport. Make sure that you also check how much time they take to make the trip to and from the airport. This is to ensure that you don’t miss your flight.
And lastly, you need to consider the price. When speaking of price, it doesn’t mean that you are looking for the lowest price offered for the service. This means that you need to look for quality service that comes for a fee that surely will not hurt your wallet. There is a possibility that the SFO parking facility offers low prices yet poor service. Make sure that you are getting your money’s worth with parking facilities. These services are here to make sure that you are free from worries as you travel.

Airport Parking at the JFK

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

The busiest and perhaps one of the most popular international airports in the United States is located in New York. Named after the 35th president of the United States, it is called the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The airport is also the largest in the New York metro. It is located in Queens County. It is home to JetBlue Airways and one of the major international hubs for Delta Airlines and American Airlines.

The JFK airport, as said earlier is one of the busiest airports in the United States. People come and go by the thousands in a day. Motorists come and go all the time. And JFK parking has plenty of room for these motorists.
The JFK parking has five structures that connect directly to the eight passenger terminals of the JFK airport. These parking lots are all short-term parking lots that offer convenience to customers. They charge a 3-dollar fee for the first 30 minutes of your stay. And for the first hour, they charge a 6-dollar fee. There will be an additional 3-dollar fee for every succeeding half hour after the first. The JFK parking management allows only up to $33 as their maximum daily price for short-term parking. That is about five and a half hours of stay on short-term parking.
The JFK parking also offers long-term parking at parking lots A, B and C. These parking lots are located along Lefferts Boulevard. There is a free shuttle service to the main passenger terminals as the parking lot is about 4 miles away. Long-term parking would have an 18-dollar fee for the first 24 hours. Customers would just need to add 6 dollars for every succeeding 8-hour period after the first 24 hours.

Of course, you can always opt to go for the “Kiss and Fly” drop-off. Just drive your loved one to the airport, kiss them goodbye and watch them walk away as you drive forward, away from the airport.

My Best Tips For SFO Parking

Friday, September 18th, 2009

If you need to park for less than an hour (two hours at the most) use the short term lots.  The short term and long term lots charge about the same per hour ($5 per hour for the short term, $4 per hour for the long-term).  However the daily rate for the short-term lots is $35 versus $14 for the long-term lots.  The long-term lots also offer free donuts if that is of interest to you.

The shuttes that transport you from the long-term lots to the terminals run often and are very efficient.  There are covered ($13/day) and uncovered ($10/day) lots available.  These lots offer 24-7 security.

Valet parking is convenient and not as expensive as you might think ($35 per day).  Of course you also have to figure in the tip but may be well worth it in the long run.

There are handicapped SFO Parking lots available.  However thes lots charge the same rates as the other lots.

The best tip I can offer however is to pre-book your airport parking.  By pre-booking you will save money, assure that you will have a parking spot, you can find the lot on the map or GPS, and you can plan your time so that you can avoid any undue stress and hassles when traveling.

JFK Parking? Are You Serious?

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

JFK Airport is one of the busiest in the country, particularly for international travel.  JFK parking can be stressful if you do not plan ahead.  However f you know your options and pre-book your parking, JFK parking can be a joy (well maybe not a living nightmare at least).

[Here is a quick tip: some of the airport hotels will provide free or discounted parking if you stay at the hotel the night before your flight.  Sometimes you can stay and park for the same price you would pay just to park at one of the JFK airport lots.]

Short-Term Parking.  The short-term lots are designed for people that need to leave their car for awhile to assist passengers with their tickets or baggage or if you need to help someone get to the gate. The lots are relatively expensive( $3 per half hour/$33 per day).

Long-Term-Parking.  The prices for the long-term lots are $18 per day. JFK airport has several long-term lots that offer shuttle service between the lots and the terminal.  The shuttles are clean and run often.  The ride is relatively short, (most lots are less than 4 miles from the airport) but you must make allowances for the transportation time.

JFK parking spaces can be reserved by pre-booking online.  There are several companies that are able to quickly search for available spaces and lots at the time you intend to travel.  Pre-booking not only allows you to avoid the headache of finding a space the day of travel but pre-booking also saves money.

UFO hovers over Chigaco O’Hare Airport – Eyewitness Account

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

http://www.lapisufo.com

Video is of a US news channel interview with the eyewitness mentioned in the report below.

Below is a report by an eyewitness to the 7th November 2006 UFO sighting at Chicago’s O’Hare airport. The airport is in the Northern US and is a major international hub.

Chicago O’Hare UFO Report

Ok I have been hesitant about talking about this, but after hearing the report on Coast to Coast AM with Mr. Noury, I cannot be silent. I work for a major airline at O’Hare, I am a taxi mechanic. I have the job responsibility of moving aircraft under there own power from gate to gate or the hangar complex for maintenance. We also accomplish the engine run-up testing needed. So I hope that does something for establishing a little credibility for my report. I am still in absolute wonder and amazement at what I saw that afternoon.

Around 16:30 hours, a pilot made a comment on the radio about a circle or disc shaped object hovering over gate C-17 at the C concourse in Chicago. At first we laughed to each other and then the same pilot said again on the radio that is was about 700 feet above ground level. The day was overcast with the ceiling being reported at 1600 feet if I remember correctly. I was taxing a Boeing 777 from the International Terminal to the Company Hanger on the North side of the Airport.

As we passed the C Terminal on the Alpha taxiway we observed a dark gray hazy round object hovering over O’Hare International Airport. Is was definitely over the C Terminal. It was holding very steady and appeared to be trying to stay close to the cloud cover. The radio erupted with chatter about the object and the ATC controller that was handling ground traffic made a few smart comments about the alleged UFO sighting above the C terminal.

We had to continue moving the aircraft to the hangar. After parking I noticed the craft was longer there but there was an almost perfect circle in the cloud layer where the craft had been. The hole disappeared a few minutes later.

For the rest of the night there were jokes made on the radio about the sighting.
